What is dividend ?
A dividend is a
distribution of profits by a company to its shareholders. When a company earn profit,
it is able to pay a proportion of profit to company shareholders, this portion
of profit which is given to shareholders is known as dividends. Any amount not
distributed is taken to be re-invested in the business.
